		<description>Dear Devananda,
Your fears are correct. Here is a link to something one of his friends wrote after his passing in August 2008.

I am sorry you had to find this out so belatedly. Please accept my condolences.

<description>I am saddened by this &#039;Thread&#039;. I had been looking for Dharmaja [formerly Don Ackerman] for some years now. I just came back into possession of a letter he had written in 1990 and as I had forgotten the &#039;Sat Nam&#039; that Sri Chinmoy had given him since our last meeting in person in the 1970s at Sonoma State College where we were both students at the time I was unable to track Him down on the internet until today.
Given the context and date of these posts I assume I am a few years too late...seems that has been my lot a great deal of the time these days.

<description>Sharani, thanks for this. It speaks of what&#039;s in my heart as well. I&#039;ve never been to Japan (yet!), but I feel a real affinity with the people and culture--enough that what they&#039;re going through is absolutely breaking my heart. This is one of those times when I just have to trust that my (and everyone&#039;s) prayers and good wishes really are having an effect...I don&#039;t know the &quot;inner mechanics&quot; of that, but I definitely believe it&#039;s true.

In the meantime, my thoughts are with all the unsung heroes, both at the nuclear plant who are struggling against all odds to contain the problem, and helping those in the earthquake- and tsunami-ravaged areas.</description>

		<description>Hi Pritika
Here is a link to the score of this song which I agree is quite beautiful. I did not include it in my blog post but your comment is showing a sneak peak at how much Sri Chnmoy loved Japan and how much he wrote about the country and its people.
